The House of Laurels in Maleny is a lovely venue for a wedding with its wonderful spacious rooms with their high ceilings for the bride's prep, the beautiful garden and gazebo for the ceremony, the pretty courtyard for the canapé hour and the light and airy reception room. So even when the day of this lovely couple's autumn wedding dawned a bit cold and blustery, I knew everything would run pretty smoothly for this lovely couple's wedding day. And so it did - the rain held off for the touching ceremony (I loved the way the bride's whole family, including her brothers, walked down the aisle with her), and although the location photoshoot was a little challenging with wrangling that gorgeous cathedral length veil in the cold and gusty wind, we luckily missed the horizontal rain that blew in just as we got in the cars. And once back at the reception, everyone warmed up quickly in the pretty, candlelit room.
